Collector of Revenue

The Collector:

  • Collects and distributes current and delinquent personal & real estate taxes for various entities, including most cities & 17 drainage & levee districts in the county
  • Collects county Merchant license for a $25 fee
  • Conducts a tax sale on the fourth Monday in August for collection of 3 year & prior delinquent real estate taxes
  • Provides assistance and tax information to mortgage and title companies, banks, realtors, and tax payers
